... born in the increasingly bombed Ruhr Area on October 22th 1941, during the Second World War. In the coming years he has earliest memories of many bomb alerts and flights in the near coal mine shelter or, when the bomb shelter door was already closed, as soon as possible back to the house cellar together with his mother and the little brother.
But who is K BARTKOWIAK ...?
- 1948 - 1956 Elementary school
- 1956 - 1959 mechanical engineering apprenticeship
- since 1960 at first measuring and control fitter at the greatest electrical company in Germany, then professional development as electrician engineer for electrotechnical installation and commissioning in the same company (until the start of retirement in 1999)
- 1965 marriage
- 1966 from February till October commissioning work at the first fertilizer factory in Thailand (combined with a near lignite opencast mine, power plant and reservoir) nearby the village Mae Mo and a few trips on his free weekends: for example to the official inauguration of the reservoir by Queen Sirikit, to the traditional Songkran New Year Festival (a happy water festival in April) in the near town Lampang, later on there is a Thai-German soccer game with TV, a trip through the jungle of Northern Thailand, a visit to the zoo of Chiang Mai and the near summer residence of the King (with a quick glance at the neighbored US airbase), meanwhile there is a bigger celebration in the construction camp, when 1860-Munich has won the new German soccer Champion - at the end return flight from Lampang (photo) to Bangkok and a boat trip on the Mekong River
- 1968 birth of his daughter
- in the following decades he keeps himself fit with many weekend tours on his racing bike (here a photo of Klaus 1981)
- until 1999 numerous installations of electrotechnical measuring systems and control rooms in gas power plants or hard coal power plants in North Rhine-Westphalia, also a few weeks in Belgium and the Netherlands, at least the modernization of several gas compressor stations on the Rhine and Ruhr (among others by Rolls-Royce engine)
- until today he lives with his family in his hometown in the middle part of the Ruhr Area - his hobby is still cycling (photo of Paul, Klaus and Heinrich), in the meantime he likes watching the Tour de France on television, too ...
